Open House - May 20th, 2017

Hello Friends & Neighbors!

We are pleased to announce that our newly renovated S. Howell space is getting it's finishing touches and we will be having our first open house on May 20th from 9 am to 1 pm.

We'll be there along with our current caregivers to show you around our new space, discuss details of our philosophy, and answer your questions.

Pre-enrollment applications will be available. We currently have a pretty lengthy waiting list for infant care, but we do have some space available for children over two.

Hope to see you there!

Nearing the Finish Line!

In the spring, at the end of the day, you should smell like dirt.

Hello Friends and Neighbors,

We are getting close! Our new S. Howell space is really starting to look like the Nestling House we've been envisioning for all these months. Most recently, the kitchen, where all of our tasty, made-from-scratch meals and snacks will be made, is undergoing it's transformation. As the work inside wraps up and we embrace the warmer spring weather, we've begun planning for our natural outdoor play area and are ready to get our hands muddy in the weeks to come. Even the current Nestling House children have been busy planting seeds for our future veggie garden!

Here's a peek inside our new (not quite finished) space.

Howell Ave. Update, New Lead Caregiver & Fernwood Open House

Hello Friends and Neighbors!

Things are really moving at the Howell Ave. building! Plumbing, electrical, HVAC system, and insulation are all in place. We are beginning to make important decisions about how the space will be finished to create a comfortable, home-like environment for the children. We welcome your thoughts and suggestions! (Photos coming soon)

As we plan for our summer Grand Opening, we'd like to get the message out that based on our current waiting list, we anticipate having openings for families seeking care for children over two years of age, and particularly for those needing after-school care for children in morning K3-K4 programs. For prospective Fernwood Montessori families, we will be at the New Student Enrollment Fair this Thursday from 5:30 to 7:00 PM to share info about Nestling House's after school care options.

Lastly, as some of you already know, Kelley Moran has taken on the role of Lead Caregiver at Nestling House. We are so pleased to have Kelley join us as she brings many great qualities as a caregiver, not least of which are her calm demeanor and gentle, observational approach.

More updates coming soon!
